Your overhead shelf holds a lot. This keeps it there on every climb.

The SV Overhead Cab Organizer attaches to the front of the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and closes off the shelf cavity, so jackets, window covers, and loose gear stay up top instead of sliding out the back when you drive up a steep grade. The front unzips and drops down for full access, and the outside is covered in pockets for the small stuff you reach for every day.

Requires an overhead cab shelf. The organizer mounts to the shelf, not to the van. It's made for the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and works with most other shelves, but we can't guarantee fitment on other brands.

The front wall your overhead shelf is missing

An open overhead shelf is great on flat ground. Point the van up a steep grade and loose gear slides back off the shelf and into the cab. The SV Overhead Cab Organizer closes off the front of the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and turns it into an organized fabric cabinet, so what goes up there stays up there.

Two ways in

Unzip the whole front and it drops down so you can load or unload the shelf. Need one thing fast? The middle zipper opens a smaller access point, so you can pull a jacket out without dropping everything.

Pockets for the stuff that floats around the cab

On the cab side there's a clear pouch for sunscreen, earplugs, or lip balm, side pockets that are perfect for your AC and light remotes, and hang loops for carabiners, lanterns, or a walkie-talkie.

Built as part of a system

The organizer was designed alongside the shelf and the SV Cab Curtain Divider. Together they make the Overhead Shelf & Privacy Bundle, and the bundle costs less than buying all three separately.

The organizer attaches to the overhead shelf with Velcro along the top and screws along the bottom. No drilling into the van. Plan on 1 to 2 hours, or less if your shelf is already installed and empty.

Mistakes to avoid

Empty the shelf before you mount the organizer, it's much easier to line up
Line up the Velcro along the top first so the panel hangs straight before you put the bottom screws in
The organizer needs an overhead shelf to mount to. It's made for the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and works with most others, but on another brand's shelf check the height and mounting edge before you install

How to choose an overhead cab organizer

1. What does it mount to?

An organizer needs a shelf to mount to. Most overhead cab shelves sit at about the same height, but mounting edges vary.

How to choose: The safest fit is an organizer made alongside the shelf. If you already have another shelf, check its height and front edge first.

2. Can you get to your gear?

If the only way in is to unzip everything, you'll stop using it.

How to choose: Look for a full drop-down panel plus a smaller quick-access opening.

3. Does it help with the small stuff?

Remotes, sunscreen, and keys end up in cupholders and door pockets.

How to choose: Pick one with outside pockets and hang points facing the cab.

Do I need the SV Overhead Cab Shelf?

You need an overhead cab shelf. The organizer is made for the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and works with most other shelves, since most sit at about the same height, but we can't guarantee fitment on other brands. It doesn't mount straight to the headliner.

Why do I need an organizer on my shelf?

On flat ground an open shelf is fine. When you drive up a steep grade, loose gear slides back off the shelf. The organizer closes off the shelf cavity so everything stays put.

How does it attach?

Velcro along the top and screws along the bottom, both into the shelf. Nothing goes into the van itself.

Can I get something out without opening the whole organizer?

Will this fit my Sprinter-based RV (Revel, Storyteller, Airstream, and others)?

Most Class B RVs built on the 2019+ Mercedes Sprinter share the same body, so it usually fits. Fitment can change with trim level and factory accessories, so reach out to our team at products@sandyvans.com or (619) 812-1903 with your model and year and we'll confirm before you order.

Will it fit my 2007-2018 Sprinter?

It's made for the overhead shelf on the 2019+ Sprinter (VS30) high roof. Customers with 2007-2018 NCV3 Sprinters have modified the brackets to make it work, depending on what their rearview mirror area looks like, but we don't support it.
