The SV Cab Curtain Divider hangs from the curtain rod on the SV Overhead Cab Shelf and closes off the cab from your living space. It's insulated like our window covers, so it blocks morning light, keeps prying eyes out, and helps keep the cab's heat or cold on its side of the van.

Turn the cab into the wall of your bedroom

Parked streetside, camping off-grid, or waiting for sunrise at a trailhead, the windshield is the biggest source of light and the biggest window into your van. The SV Cab Curtain Divider closes off the cab from your living space so you sleep better, wake up slower, and keep curious eyes out.

Insulated, not just dark

The curtain is insulated like our window covers, so it does more than block light. It helps keep the heat or cold of the cab on its side of the van.

Small details that fix the usual curtain problems

Most curtains leak light around the edges. This one has magnets on both sides that grab the door frames and hold the curtain fully spread. The center split is magnetic, so you can walk through without fighting it. While you drive, buckles and magnets hold it tied back so it isn't flapping around. A Velcro extension is included for the bottom if you want it to reach the floor, or leave it off for easier pass-through (and an easier path for the dog).

The curtain hangs from the curtain rod included with the SV Overhead Cab Shelf. With the shelf and rod installed, hanging the curtain takes about 30 minutes. No drilling.

Setting it up

Hang the curtain on the rod, then test the side magnets against the door frames on each side and the magnetic center split. Decide whether you want the Velcro bottom extension on: leave it off for easier pass-through, or add it to reach the floor and block more light.

Mistakes to avoid

Ordering the curtain without a rod. It needs the rod included with the SV Overhead Cab Shelf.
Driving with the curtain loose. Buckle it back and let the magnets hold it so it doesn't swing around.

How to choose a cab divider curtain for your Sprinter

A cab curtain is one of the simplest ways to make a van feel like a home at night. Here's what matters, in the order customers ask us.

1. How does it mount?

Some curtains hang on magnets, some on a track installed in the headliner, and some on a rod. Each one needs something to hang from.

How to choose: Check what the curtain hangs on and whether that's already in your van. Ours hangs from the rod included with the SV Overhead Cab Shelf.

2. Insulated or just blackout?

Blackout fabric blocks light. An insulated curtain also slows heat moving between the cab and the living space, which matters in hot sun and cold nights.

How to choose: If you camp in heat or cold, pick an insulated curtain.

3. Light leaks at the edges

A curtain that hangs loose at the sides lets light in around the edges, especially at sunrise.

How to choose: Look for a way to hold the edges against the door frames, like side magnets.

4. Getting through it

You'll walk between the cab and the back a lot. A split that closes on its own makes that easy.

How to choose: Pick a curtain with a magnetic center split.

5. Stowing it while driving

A curtain that swings while you drive is distracting and can block your view.

How to choose: Make sure it ties back securely, with buckles, magnets, or both.
