Product Details

These roof rails were designed for Sprinter owners who are serious about their rooftop builds. The open-channel design solves the biggest frustration with factory rails: you're no longer locked into fixed mounting positions. Slide hardware anywhere along the rail, dial in placement for your rack, solar panels, or lights, then lock it all down.

The kit ships with both rails and all required mounting hardware. Applying an exterior-grade sealant around the bolt and nut penetrations once installed is recommended — quick step, but it keeps moisture from working under the rails over time.

A clean drop-in upgrade for any 144" High Roof Sprinter and a natural starting point if you're building toward a full roof rack. Once the rails are on, you have a solid anchor point for whatever comes next.

Choosing Roof Rails for Your Sprinter

Roof rails are one of the first things to sort out in a rooftop build. The right choice comes down to a few factors.

Wheelbase first

Rails are wheelbase-specific. These rails fit the 144" wheelbase only. If you have a 170" or extended Sprinter, reach out at contact@sandyvans.com and we'll find the right fit.

Channel design vs. fixed mounting

Factory Mercedes rails use fixed mounting points, limiting where rack hardware can go. These aftermarket rails use open-channel slots, so you can position bolts anywhere along the rail before locking down. That flexibility matters when mounting a full rack, awning brackets, or lighting bars.

What comes next

What Sprinter does this fit?

These rails fit 2007+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500, 144" wheelbase, High Roof models — both the NCV3 (2007-2018) and VS30 (2019+) generations. They are not designed for the 170" or 170" EXT wheelbase.

What's included in the kit?

The kit includes 2 roof rails and all required mounting hardware. Sealant around the bolt and nut penetrations is recommended but not included — pick up any exterior-grade automotive sealant at your local auto parts store.

How are these different from Mercedes factory rails?

The big difference is the channel design. These aftermarket rails feature open slots along the rail that let you slide bolts to any position before locking them down. Mercedes OEM rails have fixed mounting points, which limits where you can position rack hardware.
