The Boost Box Ski Insert turns your Sandy Vans Boost Box into a board locker. It pops into the box and gives you dividers that hold skis, snowboards and skateboards upright and apart, with cutouts to hang ski poles and gloves.

A board locker on the back of your Sprinter

Wet skis and snowy boards are the fastest way to soak a van interior. The Boost Box keeps them outside in a lockable, weather-sealed aluminum locker, and the Ski Insert keeps them organized once they're in there.

How it holds your gear

The insert pops into the Boost Box and gives you dividers sized for skis, snowboards and skateboards. Boards stand upright and stay apart, so they aren't knocking into each other down a washboard road. Cutouts in the insert let you hang ski poles and gloves where they dry.

Why HDPE

We make the Ski Insert from HDPE plastic. It's lightweight, it can't rust, and it's soft on bases, edges and top sheets, so it won't scratch, ding or dent your gear. The foam floor pad that comes with the Boost Box cushions board tails on rough roads.

Mix and match

Boost Boxes ship empty. Pair the Ski Insert with a Shelf Insert for boots and helmets, and Molle Panels for hooks and bags on the door. All Boost Box add-ons can be combined, and you can add any of them later.

How to choose a ski and board setup for your Boost Box

Here's what to think through, in the order customers ask us.

1. Do you have the full-size Boost Box?

The Ski Insert fits the full-size Boost Box only. It does not fit the Boost Box Mini.

How to choose: Full-size box: add the Ski Insert. Mini: it won't fit.

2. What boards are you carrying?

The divider slots hold skis, snowboards and skateboards upright. The interior of the Boost Box is 71.5 inches tall, 19 inches wide and 16 inches deep.

How to choose: If your longest skis or board fit inside 71.5 inches, they fit in the box.

3. Do you need room for boots and helmets too?

Boards take the dividers. Smaller gear is easier to find on a shelf.

How to choose: Add a Shelf Insert if you carry boots, helmets or bags with your boards.

4. Where does wet gear go?

Molle Panels on the inside of the door take hooks and bags for gloves, hats and booties.

How to choose: If you're out in the snow a lot, add Molle Panels to hang wet gear to dry.
