The Maxxair MaxxFan Deluxe 7500K is a roof vent, a 10-speed fan and a rain cover in one unit. The built-in rain shield lets you run it while it's pouring or while you're driving. Control it with the handheld remote or the keypad on the ceiling, and let the thermostat run the fan for you.

Fits: universal, any van or RV with a standard 14 x 14 in roof opening. Sprinters have no factory opening, so plan on cutting one. Not compatible: openings other than 14 x 14 in, or spots with less than 8 in of clear roof behind the fan.

The MaxxFan installs into a 14 x 14 in roof opening with its roof receiving flange. On a Sprinter you'll cut the opening and build up the ceiling side so the total thickness falls between 1-1/8 and 6-1/2 in. Mistakes to avoid

Skipping the build-up on a thin van roof. The interior trim needs at least 1-1/8 in of total thickness.
Blocking the louvers. Keep 8 in of clear roof behind the fan.
Wiring polarity. The positive lead goes to 12V positive on a circuit rated for 5A.
Testing before power is reconnected. Re-apply 12V before testing with the remote.
