Your Sprinter's front bumper has mounting points that nobody's using. The Sandy Vans Front Bumper Light Bar changes that -- a purpose-built aluminum bar that drops right into your factory front bumper and gives you a proper platform for auxiliary driving lights, without modifying the frame, cutting plastic, or compromising your approach angle.

  • Custom fit -- designed specifically for 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter front bumpers
  • Aluminum construction with black powder-coated finish
  • Adjustable front-to-back positioning -- dial in your light angle once, lock it down
  • Works with 6- to 8-inch pod lights, driving lights, and round bar-mount fixtures
  • Sensor-safe install -- does not disrupt factory cameras or proximity sensors when installed correctly

Fits: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2019+ (all wheelbases)
Does not fit: Pre-2019 Sprinter (NCV3)

Choose your option: Bumper gets you the bar and all hardware. Bumper + Lights adds a matched pair of 7-inch 8,000-lumen auxiliary lights (amber or white, black brackets) with a wiring harness and switch.

Product Details

The 2019+ Sprinter front bumper has factory mounting points built into the structure, sitting there unused from the factory. The Sandy Vans Front Bumper Light Bar turns those holes into a proper light platform -- a clean aluminum bar that bolts directly to the factory bumper without frame cuts, welding, or bracket fabrication.

The design is specific to the Sprinter. The bar drops behind the plastic fascia and engages the factory mounting points, leaving your bumper intact except for two small holes you drill yourself. Position the bar front to back, set your lights, lock it down.

Where it matters most is on mountain roads and fire roads after dark. Factory headlights point forward and down -- fine for pavement, not enough when you are threading through a canyon or scanning for washouts. A pair of driving lights aimed where you are actually looking changes that entirely. The bar gives you the platform; the lights do the work.

The Bumper + Lights variant adds a pair of 7-inch round auxiliary lights (8,000 lumens, 90W combo beam) with mounting brackets, a wiring harness, and an on/off switch. No separate sourcing required -- everything arrives in one box.

The install is beginner-friendly. The most important step is sensor wire management -- everything else is straightforward hardware work.

Before You Drill

Reach behind the plastic fascia and locate the sensor and camera wiring that runs through the drill zone. Push those wires down and tape them low, well clear of where you will be drilling. This takes 30 seconds and prevents the one failure mode that causes a support ticket.

Remove the Fascia Bolts

Remove the four quarter-20 bolts from the back side of the factory bumper. These hold the plastic fascia to the bumper structure. The light bar engages these same mounting points.

Drill the Fascia

Mark your drill points on each side of the Mercedes emblem using a long pen through the bar's mounting holes. Start at 7/8 inch -- that is the target for most Sprinters. If the hole is catching, step up to 1 inch. Deburr the edge after drilling. Run your wires through before mounting the bar.

Mount and Position

Thread the hex-head bolts with large fender washers from the front. Do not overtighten bolts that contact the plastic -- firm is enough. Slide the bar to your preferred front-to-back position before locking it down.

Bumper + Lights Variant

Run the wiring harness to your fuse box through the factory grommet at the firewall. The harness taps into a constant 12V source. Mount the switch on your dash.

Tools You'll Need

  • Long pen or pencil (for marking drill points)
  • 4mm Allen key
  • Masking tape
  • Torx T45 driver
  • 1/2-inch socket and ratchet
  • Step bit (7/8-inch)
  • Cordless drill with Phillips bit
  • Deburring tool

The main decision is Bumper only or Bumper + Lights. Here is how to think through it.

1. Do you already have lights?

If you have a specific auxiliary light in mind -- a brand you trust, a beam pattern that fits your driving, or a fixture that matches a switch panel you already have -- get the Bumper only. The bar accepts any 6- to 8-inch round pod or driving light with a bar-clamp mount, which covers the majority of popular options.

If you are starting fresh and want everything sorted in one order, the Bumper + Lights bundle takes care of it. The included lights are a 7-inch round combo-beam pair with brackets, harness, and switch.

2. White or amber?

The Bumper + Lights variant comes in amber or white. Amber cuts through dust, fog, and rain -- it does not light up the scatter, it cuts under it. White delivers peak raw brightness in clean air and better color rendering for reading terrain detail. If you drive on dusty roads, fire roads, or in coastal fog more than once or twice a year, amber is worth it.

3. What is a combo beam?

Combo beam combines a wide flood (lights up the area close to the van) with a spot center (throws light down the road). For a primary auxiliary setup, this is usually the right choice -- you get both near-field and far-field coverage from a single fixture.

Pre-Order Checklist

  • Confirm your Sprinter is 2019 or newer (not pre-2019 NCV3)
  • Decide: Bumper only (bring your own lights) or Bumper + Lights (everything included)
  • If buying the bundle, choose amber (dust, fog, rain) or white (clean-air brightness)
  • Have a step bit on hand -- 7/8-inch target, up to 1-inch if needed
What years of Sprinter does this fit?
The Sandy Vans Front Bumper Light Bar fits 2019+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, all wheelbases. It does not fit the pre-2019 Sprinter (NCV3 generation), which has a different front bumper structure.
Do I have to drill holes in my bumper?
Yes. The install requires two 7/8-inch holes drilled through the plastic fascia, one on each side of the Mercedes emblem. A step bit gives the cleanest result, but a standard drill bit works -- deburr the edge after. Some vans need up to 1 inch depending on plastic thickness.
Will drilling affect my sensors or cameras?
Not if you do it right. Before drilling, reach behind the plastic fascia and locate the sensor and camera wiring that runs through that zone. Push those wires down and tape them low, well clear of the drill path. This step takes about 30 seconds and is the most important part of the install.
What lights work with this bar?
Any 6- to 8-inch round pod light or driving light with a bar-clamp mount. That covers most popular auxiliary lights on the market. The Bumper + Lights variant includes a matched pair of 7-inch round combo-beam lights (8,000 lumens, 90W each) with brackets, wiring harness, and switch.
Is the bar position adjustable?
Yes. The bar slides front to back before you tighten the mounting bolts, so you can dial in your light angle for your specific fixtures. Set position first, aim your lights, then lock it down.
Is there an install manual?
No printed manual is included. The install video on our product page covers every step from hardware ID through light wiring, including sensor wire management and drilling technique. Watch it before you start.
