The KUAT Piston E-Bike Ramp clamps onto a Piston tray while the tire arm is open, so you can roll a heavy e-bike, cruiser or downhill bike straight up onto the rack. It telescopes for extra length and packs small for the van.

Fits: KUAT Piston Pro, Piston Pro X and Piston SR (hitch-mounted). Not compatible: Kuat NV racks (Kuat makes a separate NV ramp).

Why we carry the Piston E-Bike Ramp

E-bikes are heavy, and lifting one onto a hitch rack is the hardest part of the trip. The ramp turns that into a roll. It's made by Kuat for the Piston trays on the Piston Pro and Piston Pro X.

How it works

Open the tire arm on the tray, clamp the ramp onto the tray, extend it, and roll the bike up into the chocks. Close the arm, unclip the ramp, and stash it in the van.

How to choose a bike ramp

1. Which rack do you have?

Ramps are made for a specific tray design.

How to choose: This ramp fits Kuat Piston racks: Piston Pro, Pro X and SR (hitch-mounted).

2. How heavy is the bike?

How to choose: If you load an e-bike, cruiser or downhill bike, a ramp saves your back. Check the bike is within your rack's per-bike rating, 67 lb on the Piston Pro and Pro X with 2 bikes.

3. Where will you store it?

How to choose: Pick a ramp that packs small enough for your van's storage.

How the Piston E-Bike Ramp stacks up

Which racks does the ramp fit?

Kuat Piston racks: the Piston Pro, Piston Pro X and the Piston SR when it's hitch-mounted. It doesn't fit Kuat NV racks.

How does it attach?

Can I drive with the ramp attached?

No. Take it off and stow it in the van before you drive.

Is it worth it for a regular bike?
