Why an undermount tank

Water is heavy and bulky. Moving 19 gallons outside the living area frees a cabinet's worth of space and keeps the weight low.

The welded stainless shell and two internal baffles are built for life under a van, and the baffles keep water from piling to one end when you brake.

How to choose a van water tank

1. Fit

Undermount tanks are shaped for a specific van and spot.

How to choose: Match the variant to your van and confirm the year with us.

2. Inside or under

Underbody tanks free interior space but face the weather.

How to choose: Short on cabinet space? Go under. Camping below freezing a lot? Plan heating or draining.

3. Capacity

Most travelers use a few gallons a day for drinking, cooking and quick rinses.

How to choose: 19 gallons suits weekend to week-long trips between refills.

4. Material

Stainless steel resists corrosion and impact under the van.

How to choose: For a tank you'll see road spray on, stainless is a durable pick.

Before you order

  • Confirm van, year and wheelbase
  • Check for existing underbody tanks or an aftermarket fuel tank
  • Plan your pump, fill and drain lines

How this tank stacks up

How much water does it hold?
The shell holds 19.93 gallons. The two internal baffles take up some of that, so plan on about 19 usable gallons.
Where does it mount?
Under the van on the driver side, beside the fuel tank, below the crew window and behind the driver seat.
Sprinter or Transit?
Pick the variant for your van; the mounting differs between the two.
Will it fit my model year?
Reach out to our team with your year and wheelbase and we'll confirm before you order.
I already have an underbody tank or aftermarket fuel tank. Will it fit?
Reach out before ordering so we can check clearance with what's already under your van.
How heavy is it full?
About 190 lb: roughly 158 lb of water plus the 32 lb tank.
What about freezing weather?
Any underbody tank is exposed to outside temperatures. Plan to drain it or add tank heating if you camp below freezing.
