Meet JohnsVan, a Mercedes Sprinter 144" AWD built for going further and staying longer. This rig pairs serious off-road capability with a fully dialed-out interior, so whether you're chasing sunsets down a fire road or parked at basecamp for a week, Kelvan is ready.

Layout

JohnsVan features our Captain's Quarters layout, with a 2-seater swivel and captain's chair setup that turns the cab into part of the living space. Up top, a CloudCap rooftop tent adds a second sleeping area with interior roof access, giving you more room to spread out without adding a single mile to your footprint.

Power and Electrical

JohnsVan runs on an upgraded RedArc electrical system: 618AH of lithium battery storage, a 3000w inverter, and dual solar panels feeding it all day long. A BCDC100 charger keeps recovery times short, so you're back to full power fast, even on short driving days. This is enough capacity to run everything on board without a second thought about where the next outlet is.

Climate Control

Comfort in any season. JohnsVan comes with a diesel heater for cold mornings and a 12V Cruise and Comfort A/C unit for hot afternoons, plus a MaxxFan Deluxe for airflow when you want it. Lizard Skin spray in insulation keeps the cabin regulated in extreme heat and cold, and an Aqueous 12V water heater means hot water on demand.

Interior

Inside, JohnsVan is finished with premium lighting and radial cabinetry for a warm, elevated feel. A Laveo dry flush toilet and Tetravan flip down indoor shower cover the essentials, backed by a greywater tank so you're never scouting for a dump station. An L-track system cut into the flooring keeps gear, bikes, and bags secured no matter the terrain, and a flip down 19.5" TV with overhead storage rounds out the cab.

Exterior and Adventure Gear

JohnsVan is built to take the abuse of real off road use. A CA Tuned front bumper with off road lights and a winch, plus a front skid plate, handle the front end, while a Stage 3 RIP kit (aux struts, rear leafs, and front coilovers) keeps the ride planted no matter what's underneath. All terrain tires and wheels with no rub fenders, a full spare tire rack, and a starboard rack with an SV Boost Box Mini give you the storage and traction to go where the pavement ends.

Up top, a CloudCap roof rack and electric awning with LED lighting create instant shade and shelter at camp, while a side ladder, side steps, and rear step make getting in, out, and onto the roof effortless. An ARB air compressor and Starlink Mini prewire round things out, so you're covered for tire pressure and connectivity no matter how far off grid you go.
