What Makes Sandy Vans Rentals Stand Out?

What if I want to purchase a van after my rental?
This happens A LOT. If you want to purchase a van after your trip, we will put a portion of the money you spent on the trip toward your purchase! We allow up to $2000 of the Base Rate (Day Rate + Setup Fee) towards your purchase from the 1st and 2nd rental trip.
What if I don’t have experience camping and I’m not sure where to take the van?
No need to worry, we’ve got you covered. Sandy Vans offers two levels of Camping Concierge service to match your adventure style. Our Adventure Architect can provide a few expert tips or fully curate the trip of your dreams. We start by narrowing down your ideal destination — coast, mountains, or desert — then dive into what you want to do along the way. From there, we help map out routes and can’t-miss locations!
What happens if something goes wrong on my trip?
We know that things happen, so you can always call or text our Rental Program Manager at 949-463-3038.
Do I have to get the insurance?
Yes, you need insurance. Good thing we make it simple! When reserving a van, you are able to choose insurance at checkout.
What is the Setup Fee?
The setup fee covers the time and care we put into preparing your van for an amazing trip. From fresh linens and a full water tank to a thorough mechanical check and deep clean, we make sure everything is ready so you can hit the road feeling comfortable and carefree.
I have noticed that there are different types of Diesel Fuel. What are the acceptable ones?
THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. The ONLY fuel you can use is Diesel #2. DO NOT use Renewable or Biodiesel. If you do it may cause engine damage, and you would be responsible for an engine replacement.
What are the return requirements?
To make things simple, we only ask that you throw out all trash, sweep out the dirt or sand, and fill the gas tank to the same level you received the van with.
Where can I take the van?
You can take your van anywhere in the US, as you will only be insured here. Mexico and Burning Man travel is strictly prohibited. Other festivals such as Stagecoach and Coachella are allowed for an additional fee.
