Mount your Starlink Mini once. Pull it out for the beach in seconds.

The SV Starlink Mini QuickDock is a low-profile aluminum cradle that holds your Starlink Mini tight on the van, then lets it slide right out when you want to take it on a hike, to the beach, or on a flight. Most mounts make you unbolt the whole bracket to get the dish out. With the QuickDock, the bracket stays on the van and two bolts release the dish.

Fits: Starlink Mini. Universal mount for any van roof, rack, or flat surface: Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, and RVs and upfitters including Winnebago Revel, Storyteller Overland, Airstream Interstate, Grech RV, Pleasure-Way, Leisure Travel Vans, and more.
Not compatible: Starlink Standard and other full-size Starlink dishes.

  • Black powder-coated aluminum, about 11" wide x 12.25" long x 1.75" tall
  • Remove two bolts and the dish slides out, the bracket stays mounted
  • Run the power cable out the bottom or through the side knockout
  • Trim-lock edge keeps steady pressure on the dish so it doesn't rattle on washboard roads
  • Slotted holes take 1/4-20 bolts for a permanent mount

Choose your hardware:

  • QuickDock with Basic Hardware Kit: L brackets and bolts for a permanent mount to your roof, rack, or a side surface.
  • QuickDock with Magnetic Feet: four rubber-backed magnets, rated at 35 lbs each, for a no-drill mount on a steel roof that comes off whenever you want.
See it on your van. Add the SV Starlink Mini QuickDock Mount to your build in our 3D Van Builder and preview it on a real Sprinter before you buy.

Product Details

Internet on the van, and in your backpack

The Starlink Mini is small enough to go anywhere, which is exactly why you don't want it permanently bolted to your roof. The QuickDock was built around that idea: a mount that lives on the van and a dish that comes and goes.

How the quick release works

One side of the cradle comes off. Slide the Starlink Mini in, slide the side piece back on, and thread in the included bolts with a 4 mm Allen key. A trim-lock edge on that side piece keeps pressure on the dish so it stays put. To take the dish with you, back out those bolts and slide it out. The bracket never leaves the van.

Clean cable routing

The Starlink Mini has two ports. You can route your cable out the bottom of the cradle, or pop the knockout on the side piece and run it out the side. There's room to get your fingers in to plug and unplug without fighting it.

Two ways to mount

The Basic Hardware Kit uses L brackets and bolts for a permanent mount on your roof, a rack, or the side of something. The Magnetic Feet option uses four magnets rated at 35 lbs each, with rubber feet so they don't scratch your paint. Magnets need a steel surface to hold.

Powering it

The QuickDock works with whatever power setup you use for the Starlink Mini, including 12V USB-C, direct-to-battery, and cigarette lighter cables. Cables aren't included. Many owners buy a second Starlink cable so one stays on the van and one travels with the dish.

What's in the Box

  • SV Starlink Mini QuickDock mount
  • Side retaining bolts
  • Basic Hardware Kit option: L brackets, 4 bolts, 4 nuts, 4 washers
  • Magnetic Feet option: 4 rubber-backed magnetic feet
Install Time5 to 15 minutes
DIY FriendlyYes, a few minutes with an Allen key
Drilling RequiredNo with magnetic feet, depends on your surface with the hardware kit

Before you start: take a photo of the serial number label on your Starlink Mini. Once it's in the mount the label is harder to get to, and you'll want it handy if you ever need it for Starlink support.

Putting the Starlink Mini in the QuickDock takes a few minutes with a 4 mm Allen key. Mounting the dock to your van depends on where it goes: the Magnetic Feet option just sets down on a steel roof, while the Basic Hardware Kit bolts to your roof, rack, or a side surface with 1/4-20 bolts and L brackets.

The install video on this page walks through loading the dish, routing the cable, and the mounting options. There's no written manual.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Snap a photo of your Starlink Mini serial number before it goes in the mount
  • Decide on bottom or side cable routing before you close up the cradle
  • Push the side piece in snug before you tighten the bolts so the trim lock grips the dish
  • Magnets only hold on steel. They won't stick to aluminum, fiberglass, or a composite roof
  • Wipe the roof clean before setting magnets down, grit under the rubber feet can mark paint

Tools You'll Need

  • 4 mm Allen key
  • Wrench for 1/4-20 nuts (Basic Hardware Kit)

How to choose a Starlink Mini mount for your van

1. Does it fit your dish?

The Starlink Mini is a different size and shape from the full-size dishes, and mounts are not interchangeable.

How to choose: Buy a mount made specifically for the Starlink Mini.

2. Can you take the dish with you?

A lot of mounts are built so the dish only comes out if you unbolt the whole thing.

How to choose: If you'll use the dish off the van, pick a mount where the bracket stays put and the dish slides out.

3. Permanent or removable mount?

Bolting gives you the most secure install. Magnets give you no drilling and a mount you can move.

How to choose: Bolt it if it lives on a rack or a non-steel surface. Use magnets if you have a steel roof and want flexibility.

4. How does the cable route?

A cable pinched under the dish or flapping in the wind is the most common failure point.

How to choose: Look for a mount with a planned cable exit, ideally more than one.

Before you order

  • Confirm you have a Starlink Mini
  • Take a photo of your Starlink Mini serial number
  • Decide where it will mount: roof, rack, or side surface
  • Check if that surface is steel if you want magnets
  • Sort out your 12V power cable

How the SV QuickDock stacks up

  • Fit: made for the Starlink Mini
  • Dish comes out with two bolts, bracket stays on the van
  • Mounting: L bracket hardware kit or 35 lb magnetic feet
  • Cable: bottom exit or side knockout
  • Rubber-backed feet to protect paint
Which hardware option should I pick?
Pick the Basic Hardware Kit if you want a permanent bolted mount on a roof, rack, or side surface. Pick Magnetic Feet if you have a steel roof and want a no-drill mount you can move or remove.
How strong are the magnetic feet?
Each of the four magnets is rated at 35 lbs. They only hold on steel surfaces, so they won't work on aluminum, fiberglass, or composite roofs.
Do I have to unbolt the mount to take my Starlink Mini with me?
No. Remove the two bolts on the side piece, slide it off, and slide the dish out. The bracket stays on the van.
Does it fit the full-size Starlink?
No. The QuickDock is made only for the Starlink Mini.
Is a power cable included?
No. It works with 12V USB-C, direct-to-battery, and cigarette lighter cables for the Starlink Mini. Many owners keep a second cable on the van.
Should I write down my Starlink serial number?
Yes. Take a photo of the serial number label on your Starlink Mini before you put it in the mount, so you have it if you ever need it for Starlink support.
Will this work on my RV or upfitted van?
Yes. The QuickDock is universal. It mounts to any van platform, including the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and Ram ProMaster, and to Sprinter-based RVs and upfitters like Winnebago Revel, Storyteller Overland, Airstream Interstate, and Grech RV. Fitment can vary with trim and accessories, so reach out to our team at products@sandyvans.com or (619) 812-1903 if you want us to confirm.
Can I use suction cups instead?
Reach out to our team at products@sandyvans.com or (619) 812-1903 and we'll help you with other mounting options.
