AWD 2026 Sprinter - Custom Layout "Starship Vanterprise"

Built for the rider who packs two bikes before packing a pillow. The Starship Vanterprise is a Captain's Quarters layout on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter AWD 144" chassis [confirm model year before publishing], and it boldly goes where a typical camper doesn't: no plumbing, no clutter, just a big gear garage, a walnut-and-cork cabin, and a ceiling full of stars. Load the enduro and the gravel bike, chase the trailhead, and sleep under your own private galaxy.

Living space. A north-south Scout bed slides out over full-length countertops to open up for the night, then tucks away so the cabin works as a lounge and workspace by day. A driver-side bench pairs with a mounted Lagun table for working from the road, with gas-strut storage under the seat. Out back, a big garage area with L-track cut right into the floor locks down bikes and totes, vertical or horizontal. Soft Mule Bag uppers replace hard overhead cabinets (passenger-side cabinets removed) for a lighter, roomier feel, all wrapped in a four-season shell (3M Thinsulate + wool insulation).

Galley. Walnut countertops run over white Fenix lower cabinets with push-to-open hardware and matte black fixtures, built around a 12V fridge [confirm fridge model/capacity before publishing] [confirm induction cooktop + microwave are included in this layout before publishing]. This build skips the sink and water system entirely by design, keeping the layout clean and the gear space big.

Power. The REDARC TVMS Rogue system runs the show: 412AH lithium (two 206AH LiFePO4 batteries), a 2000W inverter, a REDARC BC-DC 50 charge controller, and a RedVision display. A 195W solar panel and Victron shore power charging keep it topped up, with pop-up outlets where you need them. Starlink Mini keeps you connected off-grid.

Climate & comfort. A diesel heater tucked under the bench handles cold mornings, and a MaxxFan Deluxe moves air when it warms up. A driver-side full-size window, a rear-quarter pill window, and a solid slider-door window bring in light, with SV bug screens on the side and rear doors. Overhead is the showpiece: a custom Star Trek-inspired walnut ceiling with mini puck lights set as stars and colored acrylic backlit in warm white. Linen Oyster wall panels, cork flooring, walnut trim and headboard, and LED toe-kick lighting finish the cabin.

Entertainment & adventure. The roof is a launch deck: an SV Sandbar roof rack with walkable decking, reached by the SV side ladder. A passenger-side starboard rack carries a tall Boost Box, and a driver-side spare tire rack holds a full-size fifth spare. SV all-terrain wheels and tires (Gorge wheels with a bronze lip) with No-Rub fenders, SV side steps, and the Stage 2 Ride Improvement Package (four aux struts + rear leafs) take it comfortably onto dirt roads and semi-off-road terrain.
